Start your tour off downstairs in the visitor’s center to witness the first of many historical spots on site. Learn about pirates while pretending to be one!

Continue over to the Tuckerton Lighthouse where the real folk arts program begins. On the first floor you can see what it was like in an early style classroom. Take a seat and look through an old notebook. When you’re done you can look at old medicine bottles and clothing before taking a seat to watch an old-style film. You can learn all about old life in Tuckerton in just this one room, but continue to the other side and you’re hit with even more information. If you go upstairs, you’ll find the railroad exhibit with plenty more historical information and figures. Watch as a train figurine circles above you. Learn about how men and women were saved if they fell overboard. The educational opportunities from this folk life program are incredible.
